This morning for breakfast I made an excellent oats dish. I used Gluten Free oats, soy milk, almond butter and crumbled up one of my vegan bars on top:
This kept me nice and full for the BIG events that we had planned today at work. Today was Dumpster Dive Day! What we did is mimicked a project that was conducted by Burt’s Bees where they dumped out a dumpster and did a waste audit on the contents of the trash. In spirit of Earth Week, we jumped on that bandwagon and did one of our own:
A visit from Mr. Yuck…he hates stuff that should have been recycled!
What a GREAT lesson this was! There was a lot of opportunity that was discovered. We learned that people are not recycling paper or their plastic bottles. EDUCATION EDUCATION EDUCATION!!!
After all that fun, I spoke with Christy from Know Your Farms. WOW they are up to some really cool things. She invited me to see her garden and their kitchen that is set up for cooking demo’s – SO EXCITED!!!
