Tuesday night..yes I said Tuesday night (sorry so behind on blogging!) I made THE most EPIC pizza in history of mankind. I know what you are thinking, that is a huge statement to make.
- Homemade Pizza Crust
- Roma Tomatoes (local)
- Provolone Cheese 3 Thin Slices
- Jack and Cheddar Cheese 1 Cup
- Pinch of Sea Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- Sicilian Spice Mix
- Homemade Pizza Sauce (stewed tomatoes, 2 garlic cloves, EVOO and sea salt/pepper)
- Basil (local)
- Parsley (local)
I believe that the secret when using local flavorful tomatoes in any recipe is sea salt. The sea salt flushes the flavor out of the tomato and seems to work better than regular table salt.
