Betty White Weekend

May 10, 2010 § 1 Comment

Wow it’s Monday morning already! I had a much-needed weekend away from the internet … which is hard to do when you have a blog 🙂 You know it was a  good weekend when you are beyond tired on a monday morning and you do not regret anything.

Friday night I went back to Charlotte Colon Hydrotherapy for my second treatment. I was nervous because of the first treatment that nothing would happen. BUT it DID!!! I can physically feel a difference, there is still one section that needs to be worked on but WOW. Paul (the owner of Charlotte Hydrotherapy) is like an Oracle, not only do you feel great from the service he provides, but he shares his knowledge very casually but has very hard-hitting messages.

Saturday I had a really fun day. I started the day off at the Davidson Farmers Market (one of my favorite places 🙂 ) The market seems to be growing and the selection there is absolutely fabulous www.davidsonfarmersmarket.com

Then I needed to go shopping, my poor brother must have been very bored because he asked if he could come with me. Now I wasn’t grocery shopping or anything like that I was clothes shopping…yikes! He was a trooper and came along for the journey. I took him to lunch at Camille’s in Mooresville where he had a quesadilla wrap and I had a basic garden salad. I then met up with my friend KK and we did a little more clothes shopping (I let my brother take my car home and continued on my journey without him). I saw a Smoothie King and thought that maybe they had wheat grass shots. Oracle Paul told us the amazing benefits of wheat grass, so we both wanted to give it a whirl. The flavor was not so great and they are pretty expensive, but considering they are juicing grass manually it is worth the price. After our shots Kelley suggested we go tanning to get some Vitamin (said like Jamie Oliver) D.

I ended up tanning for 5 minutes and then doing a spray tan. My spray tan came out horrible 😦 I was splotchy and not consistent what so ever. Thankfully my face and chest area was good so I at least wasn’t effected in my face. I had a party to go to that night, but wore pants so that the horror of my legs wouldn’t be seen.

Then it was time to prepare for the party Saturday night. The theme of the party was centered around Betty White’s appearance on Saturday Night Live. What a BLAST that party was. I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in forever, met some new ones and learned to play a new game Corn Hole! I know Corn Hole isn’t a new game but it was new to me. They had a fire going, home-made pizzas and tons of laughter. I had a real late night and didn’t go to bed until close to 4:30 AM but it was so worth it, hey I am 28 I need to live a little.

Sunday was spent running around. I started the afternoon off at my friend’s house for a mother’s day lunch. They made sandwiches on the grill. But because I am not really supposed to have gluten I just had a salad with grilled veggies and it was delicious.

Then I proceeded to my friend from work’s house for dinner and a movie. We watched Marley and Me but I left before the ending because I knew it would be too sad 😦 I also had to run to another friends house (KK’s) to help with an interview that her brother is having right now (as I type) at the company I work for.

This morning I wanted to get it started off right even if I am tired and had a bowl of greek yogurt with fresh strawberries and some granola:

I already took pictures of my lunch, but will blog about that mid day.

I hope you all have a great day.

To Rice and Beans and Cheese,

Elizabeth
